Labor Day visit to Gold Beach
Jim and I headed south again to do some visiting and fishing. Mostly because Jim pulled something in his back when we were at the kids' place in August. He didn't get much fishing in. Or visiting.
Jim brother from NC had come out to visit family. He came mid-August and stayed until late September. He was in Gold Beach while we were there. He was very impressed with Tom and Anna. Had nothing but the best to say about Tom. That was nice to hear from him! He is like, my most favorite brother in law of all of Jim's many brothers!
Uncle Pat loves his fishing. He and Jim fished for surf perch. The salmon were just not biting.
Tom and Jim chillin' on the beach! They both had some good quality time just talking! Love this photo.
Two silly old boys fishing up a storm!
Ah. The Tom-ers was wanting to make jam. He had picked LOTS of wild blackberries!
(Later in the month, he found some coastal huckleberries and made jam from them! whata guy!)
Tom wanted me to teach him how to make the jam. It was so much fun!
Anna came home and got into the action. They made several batches of yummy blackberry jam.
We went out the next day and picked MORE berries. I made us a couple of batches. Got a great deal on jelly jars at Bi-Mart in Brookings! Everyone gets jam for Christmas! :)
Thanks, kids, for a great weekend! Love you both so much!
