The Weekend in Gold Beach, Oregon (Tom becomes a Policeman)

We spent time walking the beach.
Nephew Teddy told us about this beach.
Lots of sand dollars are found there. AH HA!
A challenge. Since I was missing a day of school, perhaps I
could find 52 perfect sand dollars to give to each of my kindergarteners.

We found sunshine on a cold day!

We looked for glass balls put out by the local Gold Beach merchants.
We didn't find any but we had fun looking.

Anna's mom seemed to enjoy Jim's company.

The ocean was very rough! The waves were spectacular!

Yep. This was the beach. Just south of Cape Sebastian.
We did find 52 sand dollars. Found most at low tide one morning.
Jim and I had such a fun time! It was like being a kid once again
on an Easter egg hunt! :)

This is the condo we stayed in. Pretty nice place!
Thank you to the Police chief for getting it for us!

A proud father and son.

Someday, Tom will be driving one of these cars!

Taking the oath with the Mayor.

A proud wife.

And then there's Dixon the police chief!
Thank you, Dixon for giving Tom this opportunity and
having faith in him!

Looking ever so handsome in a uniform!
(the bulk is not him. It's the bullet proof vest under the shirt. Gulp)

We are all so very proud of you, my son!
You are a good example for people to follow!
