So, we are off on another backyard project!
We are extending our patio a tad, building a slight retaining wall,
and laying pavers.
We had to move plants, pond, shrubs, trees, and bottle tree!
We moved all 4 blueberry bushes into one area.
It seemed fitting to put them with the blue bottle tree!
My main flower bed will be somewhat smaller
but yet have the same amount of flowers and more!
Go figure that one out! :)
Oh, we have a mourning dove that has adopted our backyard!
Sweet! It is banded. Not sure what that means. Perhaps it's a pet??
Ok here is where the pond used to be....and other trees.
I dug up the pond and moved it! Mr. B allowed me to dig
up his precious grass!
I like the pond here next to the shed but angled.
I can see it from the kitchen sink! We added a bubbler which
creates a very lovely sound!
The fountain stayed the same. It also makes a lovely sound.
(if only we could get rid of the trains!!) I did remove most of the
oregano that took over my rosebed. Added another rose, too!
Stan is laying the pavers for us. This is the wall.
It needs one more row of stones on top.
When digging out the trees and things, Jim found
this old thing. When Tom was maybe 3, Jim and Uncle Pat
cemented in a basketball hoop and pole. He attempted to write
Christine in the cement...but guess he ran out of room as it said,
"Christ."???
Rosie is totally confused!!
She can't be outside with the wet cement.
Stan's tools and all the material!
The pavers! More to come......as it progresses.
Should be almost done by the weekend!
