Here we are in sunny Central California where the temperature was in the mid-90's all week! It was spectacular!

One evening we went to the park in Exeter to a free concert.
The performer was a country singer by the name of Joe Nickels.

Debbie's son has a girlfriend with 2 girls.
This little one had fun dipping her hand in ice water
and rubbing it on Debbie's arm to keep her "grandma"
cool! :) Deb was a great sport!

This is Cousin Ryan and his girlfriend, Tiffany. We don't ever get to see much of Ryan unfortunately.

Anna came to the little one's rescue.
She couldn't see the stage so Anna whisked her up!
Bravo, Anna!!

We were all pretty laid back and very hot
at the concert! See Jimbo in the background? Oh, yeah...
Notice Tom and Anna? They surprised us by showing up on Wed.
when we met Uncle Capt Alan for dinner at Three Rivers! Glad
that Tom was feeling 100% better and they could join us for a short sunny
vacation!

One evening, we drove up to the Three Rivers Firestation
to visit with Debbie's hubby, Alan. He is a Captain with
the fire department.
On the way up, we passed Lake Kaweah. (the only time i ever
waterskied was on this lake a bazillion years ago. My uncle and aunt took
us out on the lake in their speedy boat. Long story short....I fell, no one saw, i forgot to let go of the rope. down down down I went. I saw my brief 12 yrs go before me. I have NEVER tried water skiing since!)

Three Rivers is on the way to Sequoia National Forest where the
huge old sequoia trees are!

The Capt and Mrs. Sherer!

We went to dinner across the street from the fire station.
Later in the week, Alan was called out and sent to San Diego
to help fight a 3000 acre wild land fire.

It's amazing how many folks down there thought that
Kayla and I look like mom and daughter. Such a compliment for me
since Kay is so pretty!

Monet's Cellar had awesome wall paintings.

Another day, we toured Exeter. Had a delightful cup of coffee and a muffin at a cafe with a lovely courtyard to begin the day.
We ended the tour with dessert at Monet's. Deb and I had a piece of Jack Daniels Chocolate Pecan Pie. It was yummy!
We got to have it in the "Cellar."
Which was good because we were loud with our silly stories and full of laughter!
As you might guess from the photo below.

She's so silly!! Always has us laughing!

This is Debbie and Alan's backyard!
We loved spending the days here!

We swam. We tanned. We talked.
We reconnected!!

Jim didn't get in the pool. He was content to just sit in
the shade, nursing his "OJ," and watching us. Occasionally,
he had to shag a ball for us.

They are so set up for entertaining in their backyard!

The early morning sunrise as we began our walk
we were out of the house at 6am.
We did a 6 mile walk up a country road. It was so pretty.

The other side of Rocky Hill!

Can you tell that we are sisters?
